About Us - Overview
1967, starting off on the ground floor, in a basement in Rochester, NY
1970, moving up to Bennington Drive in Rochester, NY
By the time William Hockenberger was 24 he had already saved $8000 and set up a tool and die operation in the basement of his partner’s home. Hockenberger knew at the time that major manufacturers needed a company specializing in difficult-to-source and engineering-driven projects. With this vision, PGM grossed over 75k in their first year and never turned back. PGM was soon recognized industry-wide for the tight tolerances they were able to achieve as well as the quality of their work and commitment to customer service.
That was 1967. Over 40 years later PGM has evolved into a full-spectrum contract manufacturing firm. With the second generation now at the helm, PGM continues to achieve the delicate balance of harmony and success for their customers, their employees and the community in which they live and contribute to every day. William Hockenberger still takes an active roll in mentoring young employees and promoting a level playing field in management structure allowing everyone at PGM to be able to contribute and grow.
PGM is committed to serving their customers on a global level and has the experience and infrastructure today to continue this story of dedication and success well into the future.
We solve our customers’ greatest manufacturing challenges through operational excellence. We do this to fuel our customers’ success, our people’s development, and the health of our corporation and communities.
